TEXT PRACTICE

I there, I am trying to make a 3D text using
Adobe Illustrator. First of all I checked my
setting is alright by going to edit, preference
then unit to make sure general setting is on Pixel. Then I opened a new page from file, set the width and height so that I'm having a square page to work on. I filled my page with the colour of my choice. Then chose the text tool to write the text. For the character, I decided to use Myriad Pro, font style-Italic, and 19 for the font size. Then turned off the fill and stroke button.

Clicking on the gradient icon, I chose the type to
be linear which make me choose the angle to be
90 degrees. After which I adjusted the gradient
slider to fit my desired colour for the text.

Added new fill, chose the colour I wanted for the
fill then clicked on effect, path, offset path to set it to 1px to apply the new colour. Then clicked on effect, distort & transform, transform to set move vertical to 2. I added new fill and set the colour to black. By clicking on the arrow near fill I was able to go to transform so as to set the vertical move to 3 which is good for me.

I created another fill, set the colours as desired
then set the copies on the transform effect to 5. Which gives me this result.

The final picture of my creation is this. I put the text on top of my recipe picture. I have come to realise that it really does not matter how one goes about using Adobe Illustrator nor does it matter which one first. What matter most is the end result. Learning continues.

See you next time.
